Ascom Mexico, official representative of the Ascom group for Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean, has successfully implemented the smart card payphones solutions with large operators such as Telmex, Telcel, Telgua and CTE Antel in El Salvador. Ascom Mexico has also installed the group's urban control system in over 2,000 buses in the city of León, Guanajuato, in Mexico, for the "Pagobús" project. PLC Americas has promoted ascom's low-voltage PLC leading solutions, and is currently analysing the best alternatives to offer medium-voltage PLC solutions to the Latin American market. PLC Americas has selected Imagina Projects to manage the most ambitious roll-out of PLC in the region up to now: the implementation of 10,000 lines (first phase) for voice and data services over the low-voltage electrical grid in Honduras, starting at the island of Roatán.
