PLC Americas and a new local operator in Honduras have defined a convergent services network for telephony and broadband internet access for residences, schools, hotels and business.
The solution is based on ascom's PLC technology, and will be implemented over the low-voltage electrical grid. Initial stage is for 10,000 lines, the first of which will be in service in the second semester of 2004 at the island of Roatán.
The project is a turnkey solution designed by PLC Americas, and includes the technical design, implementation and support of the solution. Execution will be in charge of Imagina Projects.
